Katarina Baker about herself:

I came to Canada on my own at age of 17 with two suitcases and a whole lot of dreams. I have completed my degree in Business from York University followed by Bachelor in Psychology. I only had two credits left when I dropped out because I finally had the courage to pursue my dream of devoting my life to storytelling. Story telling played a very special part in my life as a girl who grew up in a small town of a country going through collapse, being on the verge of civil war and then rebirth. Dreaming in that reality was impossible but whenever I would turn on a Disney cartoon, I felt that magic of hope and dreams and beauty and bright colours. I think back there and then, only being 4 year old is when I subconsciously decided that this is what I wanted to do. Now being older I realize that for me there is no better way to give back and make a difference in this world than doing for others what storytelling did for me. With every cell of my body I believe in the power of film and I have been fortunate enough to be a part of some meaningful and important feature films and I am hopeful to grow and continue doing what I do by exploring through my characters.

Outside of acting I am very passionate about kite surfing, mountain biking, wake surfing and snowboarding. I am a big animal lover, I ride horses and I have two dogs of my own. I love learning through traveling and human interaction, through reading and attending classes.
